Enhanced Employment Support for Persons with Disabilities
The Enhanced Employment Support program offers intensive employment supports to individuals with disabilities to help them build skills, prepare for, secure, and maintain sustainable employment opportunities.
Services
Employment Development Activities (up to 16 weeks):
Weekly Job Club (Labour market information, resume support, interview preparation)
Disclosure and Accommodations
Informational interviews, job site tours
Direct marketing and placement, along with job sourcing
Work Related Employment Supports
Exposure Courses
Work Exposure:
Connecting individuals to a time-specific employment opportunity with an employer to support learning goals and skill development
12-16 weeks either PT or FT
Offers employers a $15/h wage incentive for 15 hrs/week leading to paid employment
Paid Employment and Work Maintenance Support (up to 16 weeks)*
90 Day Follow Ups
Eligibility Criteria
Unemployed, in need of a more intensive, supported employment approach.
Recipient of IS, AISH, or might be eligible for PDD funding.
At least 18 years old, an Alberta resident, and legally entitled to work in Canada.
Able to attend at least one in-person appointment per week.
Willing to work at least 15 hours per week.
